The fallout from explosive comments attributed to former chief White House strategist Steve Bannon has reached the Republican U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin.

On Wednesday, state Sen. Leah Vukmir of Brookfield called on Delafield businessman Kevin Nicholson to disavow the endorsement he received from a super PAC tied to Bannon.

And Nicholson refused to disavow the endorsement.Bannon came under fire from President Donald Trump after excerpts were published from the book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” by Michael Wolff.Trump blamed Bannon for the loss of an Alabama Senate seat to the Democrats and said: “Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency.
